I used to HATE trapinch o_o In fact, by the time I actually caught my first one in Sapphire, I was so sick of having been running into them that I called mine Bastard. Unknown to ME at the time, Trapinch evolves into Vibrava, and Vibrava into Flygon, one of the pokemon I was dying to get my hands on. You can imagine how silly I felt when I learned this, so I ran back to the name rater, and changed his name to Copper and began working on evolving him into my special lil level 56 Flygon that he is today ^__^
